So I'm in the bathroom at the airport, washing my hands. When a woman walks in, sees me, and looks embarrassed that she's accidentally come into the wrong restroom.
I give her a reassuring smile: "It's no big deal," my smile says, "Happens to everyone eventually."
Still, she's flustered and leaves quickly.
I go back to washing my hands, which is always tricky in an airport because half the sinks don't work, and the ones that do are next to empty soap machines....
That's when another woman comes in, sees me, glances out the doorway, then looks embarrassed. Before she leaves I smile at her too, as if to say, "No worries. We're all in this together. Nobody's judging you for a simple mistake."
At this point I'm guessing there's some confusing signage outside, which is really a shame, they should try to be extra careful in airports, where everyone is rushed and stressed and more likely to make mistakes.
Then a third woman comes into the bathroom, and I realize what's really going on....
