Europe's 10 cheapest cities to visit

Image
As we live in a age of austerity with the continental countries of Europe facing unprecedented EU challenges, such as escalating inflation rates, higher VAT and with the general impact of the credit crunch and import costs, future tourists are starting to look carefully which destination offers the best value for summer 2013 or a winter break.
Here below is the updated list of Europe's 10 cheapest major cities to visit.
The greatest surprise on the list is London, which due to the fact it is outside the EU prices are relatively falling enabling it to reach Europe's bargain hotspot top 10 for the first time in 5 years. This is good news for Olympic Games visitors, however we must balance this information with the recent increase in exchange between the euro and the Pound Sterling, making it more expensive to buy GB Pounds now than in the last 5 years or so.
It's interesting to see that London is sixth on the list and the Norwegian capital Oslo last.

After Wilhelmina’s daughter (Juliana) succeeded to the throne in 1949, the day was changed to 30 April in accordance with the new Queen's birthday.
When she became queen, the now Princess Beatrix chose to retain the day in honour of her mother but as of 2014, King’s Day will officially be celebrated on 27 April (the king’s birthday). However, the event is traditionally not celebrated on a Sunday which means that the first King’s Day will be held on Saturday, 26 April 2014.  The name may have changed slightly but the festive spirit of the day is sure to remain! You'll be treated to a sea of orange …

Time Warp 2014, Mannheim, Germany

Image
Where? Mannheim, Germany

When? 5th of April 2014
The idea behind Time Warp is pretty straight-forward: Take about 50 house and techno DJs, throw them in a multi-floor venue with space for 20,000+ ravers, and let the whole thing roll for a solid 15 hours.

This simple formula has served them well since the mid-'90s, when Time Warp held its first editions in cities around Germany. The 2014 lineup features numerous top DJ's, which reflects the Festival's continued success.

For a music event on such enormous scale, it still feels like a family affair!
