Art in Ice in Livigno Resort, Italy

This is the 8th year that Livigno hosts the annual International Art in Ice Competition, where teams of artists around the world compete to transform ice into icy masterpieces. This year, the event will host a unique work on sustainability and social engagement. Weather permitting, the sculptures stay on display until March.

The exhibition gathers more than 200 of the best and most artistic exhibits of nativity scenes from all over Italy and the world  and it is aimed to help people understand the Italian tradition. Tourists across the world visit the exhibition during Christmas time. Important to mention, is the fact that the exhibition has been awarded for 6 consecutive years a silver shield from the Italian President, as well as shields and medals from the Italian Senate and from the Chamber of Deputies.

 Great Christmas Pudding Race in London, England

Organized by CRAC on behalf of Cancer Research UK, the 33rd Great Christmas Pudding Race quarantines entertainment, guest celebrities and media coverage. Last year money raised was £21,000. Let’s beat that number this year!

The Escalante Celebration, Geneva, Switzerland

Hundreds of years ago (1602, December 12) Genevans won the battle against invading Savoyan troops. L'Escalade, or Fête de l'Escalade is an annual commemoration of this heroic victory, described as one of the most beautiful festivals in Europe. A parade entirely formed by volunteers dressed in period costumes and a massive bonfire party make the event an attraction for thousands of tourists annually.
